Offshore Classification Services

Classification of MODU

Transfer of Class

Transfer of Class (TOC) is the process by which an offshore unit currently classed by another Classification Society is transferred to TASNEEF Maritime. Quality procedures laid down by IACS describe the responsibilities of each society for the conduct of TOC surveys and the submission of plans and information.

Acceptance into Class

For MODUs not built in accordance with full class rules and regulations, TASNEEF Maritime offers the “Acceptance into Class” (AIC) service. This enables offshore units to be brought into full class for operations and adds value to the asset. TASNEEF Maritime can assess the offshore unit for compliance with the applicable Class Rules, Regulations, and International Conventions. Upon satisfactory completion of the assessment, the offshore unit receives formal certification and Acceptance into Class.

New Construction

During the construction process, our unique knowledge and experience in design and construction enable our specialist surveyors to offer practical solutions through on-site surveys and construction monitoring, ensuring the safe entry of the offshore unit into service.

After Construction

After delivery and once an offshore unit enters service, all periodic and occasional surveys are carried out in accordance with our rules, regulations, and international conventions. Our experienced surveyors provide guidance and advice on how to maintain your offshore unit and achieve your operational goals.

Offshore Equipment and Systems

TASNEEF Maritime approves offshore drilling and production equipment, offshore containers, cranes, safety devices, machinery, electrical components, and materials. Based on the client’s request, a unit certification or type approval certificate can be provided.
