Ship Classification Services
Classification of Ships

Classification services are key contributors to the enhancement of maritime safety and the protection of the marine environment. Ships must be surveyed in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations of the Society to verify the structural strength and stability of the hull, cargo installations, fire protection systems, and the reliability of machinery and equipment. Upon satisfactory completion of the survey, the ship survey file is reviewed by the Technical Committee and, if approved, a Certificate of Classification is issued and the ship is entered into TASNEEF’s Register of Ships.
